NOTHING EMITS MORE CONFIDENCE IN YOURSELF THAN OWNING YOUR BALDNESS

IN 2021, IT’S TIME TO EMBRACE BALDNESS

Whether men admit it or not, appearance is a big deal to them. Even guys that openly admit that they don’t know where to start when they go shopping still want to feel good when they look in a mirror. Beyond just clothing, hair has been a constant under-cover stress point of men, even if we try to brush it off.

My hair started receding & thinning when I was 15 years old. You read that right. I remember growing my hair all long as I could to ensure no one ever saw my hairline. That worked well until any kind of exercise occurred where my long skater-hair would insist to fly up in the air for all of my high school to see. Lucky Instagram was only just becoming a thing.

All of that being said, if you find yourself in a similar situation where you’re not feeling the best about your hair, I can relate and empathize with you. And for many of us, it’s not whether or not you’ll go bald, it’s a matter of when.

Many studies point to going bald increasing by 25% after the age of 30, by 50% when you hit 50, and I don’t even want to tell you more stats beyond that point. So, as a fellow guy owning a balding head for over a decade but as still blessed with a beard, here is some advice to help you through this time.

IF YOU WANT TIPS TO MASTER YOUR BALDNESS, KEEP READING...

Ease Yourself Into It: Accessorize.

  • When I realized that I was going bald, I turned to my favourite accessory of choice: hats. Now as a teen I was stuck in a ball cap scenario, which still can look nice and proper. But one thing I discovered in my early twenties was fedoras and man do they look sick with a beard.
  • It gives you an elevated look immediately. I could be wearing joggers and a t-shirt, but I put that fedora on and instantly I have an elevated look. It did two jobs for me: it hid my insecurity while I built up confidence in myself & it guided my fashion picks.
  • I did something I never did before: I downloaded Pinterest and started looking up Men’s Fashion Trends. I realized that a lot of guys that are bald with beards can still have sick style and create their own unique look. Some guys could switch up their hair style, I just switched hats.

Gentlemen, it’s time to embrace baldness!

We’ll leave you with this thought today: in the pursuit of confidence, do not let your confidence come from receiving approval from others. That will cause your confidence to fluctuate like a rollercoaster. Putting your identity in what others think of you means you'll never fully come alive. Create a look and a vibe that you like, that you feel good when you look in the mirror, and go with it! Like everything in life, take small steps every day and include the people that you know love you in the process. Bald truly is beautiful.

How To Own What You Have: A Beard.

  • There is a lot of research that points to bald men having higher levels of testosterone, which is directly related to the ability to grow a better beard, so own it! Trim that hair on top right down, maybe even bick it and use the B.I.G Premium Pre-Shave Oil to prep your head for the shave. But then get your focus and attention on making that beard the envy of every bare-faced guy that comes your way.

"Gentlemen, can we let the comb over fade away into the abyss? Can we stop spending thousands of thousands of dollars on miracle drugs and hair implants to cover up something that could just as easily be embraced? Let’s break the stigma that being bald is ugly. Instead, I like to say that bald is beautiful ;)"

  • By saving time & maintenance on having nothing on top, you can give the proper care to your beard that it truly deserves. If you’re brand new to that bald-beared life, start with B.I.G Executive Spice Black Seed Beard Oil. It will keep your beard hydrated, which will reduce itching, promotes growth of a longer, healthier hair and it smells really good! The Time To Embrace It Is Now.

Nothing emits confidence in yourself more than owning it. The amount of compliments I received from people I knew when I started showing up without the hat on but looking clean and proper was astounding. Confidence in yourself is one of the most attractive qualities in a person and I guess it was emitting from my bald head when interacting with these people because they couldn’t stop talking about it.

  • There’s nothing worse than hanging on for something past its expiry date. Gentlemen, can we let the comb over fade away into the abyss? Can we stop spending thousands of thousands of dollars on miracle drugs and hair implants to cover up something that could just as easily be embraced? Let’s break the stigma that being bald is ugly. Instead, I like to say that bald is beautiful ;)
